As the year draws to a close, the Young Collectors Club is delighted to invite you to our final event of 2025 — a guided visit of Belgian artist Ethel Coppieters’ solo exhibition "If we could dance forever", held at Valerius Gallery on Tuesday, 9 December 2025, at 6:30 PM.
This exclusive evening offers members the opportunity to discover Coppieters’ expressive world of movement and emotion.
In her new series of paintings, Ethel Coppieters (1996) captures women in motion — dancing, flowing, and radiating joy. Against vibrant, hard-edged backgrounds, her figures, both graceful and grounded, embody authenticity and individuality. Their poses defy conventional ideals, embracing natural imbalance and vulnerability with poetic strength.
Inspired by the women in her life, Coppieters translates personal experience into a universal mythology — a celebration of liberation, connection, and feminine presence.
Trained at ERG Brussels and École des Beaux-Arts de Lisbonne, Coppieters has exhibited internationally at The Platform (Antwerp), Cohle Gallery (Paris and Menorca), Galeria Victor Lope (Madrid), and Visionary Projects (New York).
